Dwelling Prices Edge Higher in April

RP Data-Rismark reported that Australian dwelling prices recorded a small, 0.3%, lift over April following a solid lift of2.3% in March. The monthly increase took annual growth to 11.5% – its fastest pace of growth since July 2010. Over themonth, house prices rose by 0.4% while unit prices fell by 0.6%. Dwelling prices are now 16.1% above the May 2012trough and exceed the previous peak in October 2010 by 7.5%.
