• The number of housing loans to owner-occupiers (O-Os) edged higher by 0.8% in April to be 6.9% higher over the year.
• The value of loans to O-Os fell by 0.9% to $14.6bn in April and is 9.5% higher over the year.
• The value of loans to investors rose by 1.1% to $8.1bn to be a strong 18.8% higher over the year.
• The total value of all housing-related loans fell by 0.2% in April to $22.7bn and is 12.7% higher over the past year
• First Home Buyers were 14.3% of total loans to O-Os, well below their longer term average of around 19%.
• Construction related lending (by value) was flat in April but is around 10% higher than a year ago.
